Accessibility

Last updated: April 22, 2026

1. Our Commitment

Prescripto is committed to ensuring that our platform is accessible and usable by everyone — including people with visual, auditory, motor, or cognitive disabilities. We believe that access to healthcare services should have no barriers, and that starts with how we build our platform.

2. Accessibility Standards

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines help us ensure our platform is perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust for all users. While we work continuously toward full conformance, some areas of the platform may still be in progress.

3. Accessibility Features

We have implemented the following to improve accessibility across Prescripto:

  • Semantic HTML structure for screen reader compatibility
  • ARIA labels and landmarks on key interactive elements
  • Keyboard navigation support throughout the platform
  • Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements
  • Descriptive alt text on all images
  • Sufficient color contrast between text and backgrounds
  • Responsive design that works across all screen sizes and devices
  • Form labels clearly associated with their input fields
  • Loading states and error messages that are screen-reader friendly

4. Known Limitations

While we strive to make Prescripto fully accessible, some areas may not yet meet all WCAG 2.1 AA standards. We are actively working to identify and resolve these gaps. If you encounter an accessibility issue, please let us know so we can prioritize a fix.

5. Assistive Technology Support

Prescripto is designed to work with commonly used assistive technologies, including:

  • Screen readers such as NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver
  • Keyboard-only navigation
  • Browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
  • High contrast display modes

6. Mobile Accessibility

Our platform is fully responsive and designed to be usable on mobile devices. Touch targets are sized appropriately, and we support both portrait and landscape orientations. We test our platform on commonly used mobile browsers to ensure a smooth experience.

7. Feedback and Support

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of Prescripto. If you experience any barriers or have suggestions for improvement, please contact us. We aim to respond to accessibility-related queries within 2 business days.

8. Ongoing Improvements

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. As we add new features and pages to Prescripto, we include accessibility considerations from the start. We periodically review our platform against WCAG 2.1 standards and prioritize fixes based on user impact.
